Preparation and Usage Starting Skills

Project Steps

Please note- not all glass with design features and colors can be etched. Always test in an inconspicuous spot first.
This design used a masking technique which allows for the selective use of certain parts of a stencil in specific locations.
After preparing the glass, position a butterfly on the banner stencil in your desired location on the glass. Cover all other design features on the stencil securely with masking tape.
Follow the etching cream instructions to etch the butterfly onto the charm.
Wipe the pendent down with glass cleaner. Follow the directions on the metallic wax to apply the gold wax into the etching.
