Project Steps

1. This design was etched in stages.The technique allows the use of a particular stencil image multiple times on the same project when you don't have enough to etch all simultaneously. Additionally, it enables stencil images to be placed in closer proximity than the stencil borders would otherwise permit.
2. After preparing the glass, place the star border along the bottom of the block. Place the letters for Beautiful above the border beginning with the last letter and working backwards. See the lettering tutorial if necessary.
3. Follow the etching cream instructions to etch these onto the block.
4. Place the border stencil on the top edge of the block. Place the letters for America bellow it followed by The. Add the stars. Use the etching cream, as before, to etch these onto the block.
